Influenza-like illness
Outpatient influenza-like illness (ILI) declined slightly to 3.2%, down from 3.3% the week prior. We are still hovering above the 3% threshold that marks the end of flu season.
Flu B is making itself known. Nearly half of the tens of thousands of specimens tested during the week ending March 29th were positive for flu B, according to the clinical laboratories1. At the public health laboratories, the proportion was lower (11.4%) but still shows an increasing presence. If you develop a fever and cough or sore throat, there's a good chance it's flu B.
