I am surprised there has been limited reporting ...yes NBC...the unvaccinated woman positive for measles & who gave birth last wk Mar 12th (?) and the newborn contracted measles. There were numerous exposures to other pregnant mom's.
Caitlin, is the lack of updated data (e.g. the RSV & Other Bugs and Norovirus sections) unusual? I'm wondering if this is because the information is not being updated by the new administration, or if it's just the case that occasionally the data is not updated.
What the significance (if any) on the VRBPAC getting left out of the Devon making process for the upcoming flu season? Wondering if those folks should be looking for other jobs.
Thank you for the work you do getting information out to the public. It’s very valuable. Are you comfortable with the new flu vaccine recommendations, given the usual process was not followed? I’m asking about efficacy, not worried safety. Are the recommendations consistent with the recommendations of the WHO? Is it common for the egg-based vaccines to focus on different strains than the cell- or recombinant-based vaccines? Will there be a high dose version for those of us over 65?
Thank you for continuing to keep us better informed.
Thank you. I look forward to your report every Monday. Have a nice work week.

It's delayed occasionally, not cause for alarm.

The FDA's recommendation matches the WHO's, so it's solid. https://www.who.int/news/item/28-02-2025-recommendations-announced-for-influenza-vaccine-composition-for-the-2025-2026-northern-hemisphere-influenza-season
Thank you.
Thank you for collating this information!
Why is ttherea difference in flu vaccine composition between egg based and molecular based vaccines?
I think because of egg-adaptive mutations
Thank you so much! Have a happy week!
Thank you!
Thanks so much for reporting 🌻
