Walking pneumonia is everywhere in NJ and several other states. It might be mycoplasma but there are some questions on what it is. It’s an atypical presentation and doesn’t respond to first line antibiotics. Usually lungs sound clear and it is found on x-ray.
Thank you so much. I 68. and finally got Covid in June 2024; since then I've had terrible fatigue, breathlessness, and brain fog. I've had to stopped backpacking, though I occasionally do easy hiking. My PCP in my small AZ town is rightwing and against vaccines. He also does not like mammograms. I'm in big trouble unless I can get a referral. He tells me to exercise through long covid, which does not work. He tells me to take ivertmectin and that "I'll eventually get better." Not!!!!!

No kidding. There aren't many choices in my town. The Phoenix area has many more options, including functional doctors who believe in science.
