Are the rates per 100,000 for hospitalizations DAILY RATES? By my calculation, applying that rate to the estimated count of the national population would be 17,000 to 18000. That seems like a lot. Is this right and how does it compare to figures (reported differently I believe) from 2021 prior to Omicron?
Thank you for the clarification. That makes it a bit less scary. Still a big number and probably a lot higher percentage for those of us well into our 70s. What was it running in mid 2021 when I think the virus hit its least deadly point? And why the heck are deaths impossible to find? The CDC has eliminated any decent access to those figures.

I think it makes sense to wait a week between shots in case one has a reaction.
Then you know which caused it. I just had a Pfizer Covid shot that gave me a
sore spot at the point of entry -- lasted 36 hours. Next up, RSV, sometime this week.
