There are other states in the west, like Washington and Oregon. Drives me crazy when two of the states with the most comprehensive data are left out of the discussion. Not everyone lives on the east coast. And it's also important to know what states are seeing a lesser incidence of ILI.

I don’t know if anyone is interested but my PICU colleagues from around the country are reporting especially severe and protracted cases of parainfluenza-related “croup” in previously healthy children. A few have required intubation (by ENT) for life-threatening laryngospasm and subsequent respiratory arrest.
